This was a plus for us and more our scene. **I should note that the Perry Lane is not located on/near River Street, which is the big tourist destination in Savannah, but rather the hotel is situated in the heart of downtown, close to the historic squares the city is known for, as well as lots of coffee shops and restaurants. We were able to have dinner at The Emporium Kitchen and Wine Market, go upstairs and feel trendy with a few cocktails at Peregrin, the rooftop bar, and hang out late night at Wayward, the “neighborhood watering hole.” And have I mentioned the rooftop pool? This was Elizabeth’s favorite part of the whole trip! A great place to let the kids blow off steam, or just relax and enjoy a frose for yourself. The on-site restaurants and bars each have a character all their own. We were there on Elizabeth’s second birthday and the staff was so great and greeted her with a cupcake upon arrival - she was immediately sold! The Grove is a sophisticated casual bar and restaurant with rooftop views in the heart of Savannah’s bustling City Market. Try some pimento cheese croquettes or their big, juicy meatloaf served over mashed potatoes and topped with onion rings.
